"Be the best you can be, always. Be true to yourself, forever"

Taryn - Class of 2023

Hello, my name is Taryn Clements and I have just committed to Santa Clara University to play D1 softball as I continue my education..!

I am 17 years old and have been a catcher for over 11 years. I live in Southern California with my parents and brother, who have always supported my love for the game because they have seen that softball is my passion. I am a Junior at Los Alamitos High School where I challenge myself with AP and Honors classes and currently have a 4.67 GPA.

I have been playing travel ball since we started the OC Firecrackers in 2015. I have been with them ever since, winning multiple championships including the TCS World Series 12u Gold title.  I am excited to continue with my team as we merge with the new Wildcats Organization 18U coached by the legendary Rob Weil of Los Alamitos High School. I truly understand the game, love every bit of its ups & downs, and refuse to take any time off. My goal is to play for Team USA and represent my country in the Olympics.

As of January 2020 and five years with the OC Firecrackers; I had caught in 500+ games, with a cumulative record of 327 hits, 162 runs scored and 223 runs batted in. A batting average of .407, and an on base percentage of .459. In addition, I am a highly effective small ball player, moving runners over and in to score, giving my coach the confidence to call on me in even the tightest situations. As a catcher, I am a strong presence behind the plate, and my caught stealing percentage has increased seasonally to .748. I have a strong and accurate arm with an ODM confirmed pop-time of 1.7, and I love to back-pick runners with over 30 successful attempts.

I started Los Alamitos High School as a Varsity Freshman. Coach Rob has won CIF championships, was named CIF Coach of the year, was inducted into the high school Hall of Fame, and as the Firecrackers 18u Gold coach, won the 2016 PGF Premier Championship. I feel very honored with the opportunity to learn and grow from his leadership.

I am that strong, confident, hardworking, and supportive teammate who gives 100% whether behind the dish, or in the dugout cheering on my team. I work just as hard at school, and have maintained a 4.0+ GPA w/ Honors my entire school career. I hope the college I choose for my education has a quality softball program.

Firecrackers Softball

Tony Rico and the Firecrackers Organization have been a foundation of support in helping me along my journey of becoming a professional Softball Player. Tony has taken a personal interest in my game lately, and it means more to me than he will ever know. I’m a huge fan of the Firecrackers way, and am overjoyed that they’re also a fan of mine. Play With Honor!

Glowaki Chiropractic in Seal Beach

Dr. Brad and his amazing staff at Glowaki Chiropractic care for many Professional and Olympic athletes, and have always been so supportive of my families athletic health. I have been seeing Dr. Brad for almost 10 years, and I know that when I get injured during a game or feel sore and run down after a tournament, I can be sure they've got my back (literally). Thank you Dr. Brad, and everyone there who takes the time to keep me the best athlete I can be..! Visit their FB page: GlowakiChiropractic/

Go Firecrackers..! What a thrill it is for me to be a part of such and amazing team. The coaching staff and my team mates feel just as passionately about competitive sports and athletics as I do, and we’ve been able to accomplish so much together.
